About SpainVeya

Twenty years of Spanish travel. One itinerary: yours.

We build our decades of exploring Spain into personalized, day-by-day trips.

Planning a first trip to Spain means drowning in the internet's greatest hits — the same twenty restaurants, the same three-city loop, reviews you can't verify. Meanwhile, the best of Spain rarely makes it online at all: the courtyard restaurant in Córdoba with no sign on the door, the family-run asador in Castilla open since 1952, the viewpoint above Ronda where you hear nothing but wind.

That knowledge exists — it's scattered in published articles, radio segments, and blogs. But what a traveler needs is a connected week that resonates with their desires: where to sleep, what to book ahead, when to eat, how to get from Seville to Granada without losing a day.

The best way to know a country is to step into a bodega because someone said pasa — come in. Or to stop the car on a back road because the evening light has turned an ordinary landscape into something you'll never forget. That's how Irene González has traveled Spain her whole life.

She has reported from five continents, but she always comes back. She knows every province as a story built by thousands of people: the wine with only a few bottles made each year, the hundred-year-old pastry shop still baking the way it did a century ago, the fisherman who sets out before dawn, the cook guarding a recipe passed down through generations.

SpainVeya was born from that way of traveling — thousands of kilometers, conversations, and notebooks full of places — and from the conviction that real luxury is discovering somewhere authentic before the internet does.

Built SpainVeya · Born in Spain, based in California

Rebeca conceived SpainVeya and built it. Born and raised in Spain and now based in California, she leads the product with one measure of success: the delight of our customers.

She is an avid traveler herself, and Spain is the country she knows best and loves most. The food, the regional cultures, the rhythm of a good day there. SpainVeya is her way of putting that firsthand knowledge to work for first-time visitors, and of doing right by the country she was born in.

Planning a multi-city trip to Spain from the United States means reconciling train timetables, regional calendars, booking windows, and a dozen half-trusted sources. Rebeca's job is to take that work off your plate, so the effort goes into the trip itself rather than into preparing for it.

She reads every piece of feedback. If something in your itinerary fell short, or there is a feature you wish existed, she wants to hear about it directly.

"The best places are never the most famous. They're the ones someone shows you because they believe they deserve to be shared."

WHAT TRAVELERS FOUND

Recommendations we spent years uncovering.

Our early travelers told us it saved them days of research — and took them places they'd never have found on their own.

★★★★★
"It recommended places I'd never heard of, told me exactly which tickets to book ahead of time, and found hidden tapas bars I wouldn't have discovered in a hundred Google searches. It felt like a real travel expert planned the whole thing."

"We traveled to Madrid and Cuenca with my husband and two kids. They took us to places we never could have dreamed existed in Madrid. We visited three of the best museums in the world, and our kids enjoyed it more than any trip we've ever taken. In Cuenca it felt like stepping into the Middle Ages. The food was exceptional."

"We used SpainVeya to plan our trip to Alcalá de Henares and Madrid, and it was the best experience of our traveling lives. We're already planning a second trip — this time through Córdoba, Granada, and Almería for September. We can't wait to go back."

Real boots-on-the-ground experience

Every recommendation traces back to a destination Irene has visited. We don't scrape TripAdvisor or regurgitate the internet's greatest hits.

Every recommendation is Spain-specific. That depth is why we find places other tools can't.
